I whisper through my fingers and through my camera lens, of life, joy, beauty and family.
I always listen to the whispers...they will tell the truth, if you simply listen.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 12

Day 12:  Something Blue
What could be bluer than Babe the Blue Ox?
Babe and Paul Bunyan just had
face-lift
and
the
larger
than
life
duo
never looked better!

Thirty Day Challenge: Days 10 & 11

Day 10:  A Childhood Memory

As a child, I would play beneath my grandparent's grove of willow trees.  It was fun to disappear under the weeping willow branches and build a secret hide-away from the grown-ups.   The chosen blog name, Whispering Willows, was based on my childhood memories of the willow groves separating my grandparents property and the farmer's fields next to it.

30 Day Photo Challenge: Day 9

Day 9:  Someone I

Meet my granddaughter.  This adorable little head is full of joy and happiness, and silly, wonderful jokes.   I love her and miss her so much & I am very excited to see her again, in two weeks.

30 Day Challenge: Day 8

Day 8:  A Bad Habit

My Latest Shipment

I would have to say,
if I am to be honest
-and I am always that-
my worst habit is
the purchasing of books.
I love books.
 Cookbooks,
knitting books,
writing books
running books
fiction
epic tales
history books
political books
gardening books
children's books
music books
I love books.
I have an electronic reader-the Nook
and I like that,
but
it's not a real book.
I do buy too many books and it becomes
all to evident,
when it's time
to move
back to the
desert for the winter.

30 Day Challenge: Day 7

Day Seven:  Fruit

It's nearly Fall--at least up here in the north country,
therefore it's apple season.

I wish I could say this was from
my own apple tree...
 but it's not.
Unfortunately, we didn't get any apples this year.

30 Day Challenge: Day 6

Day 6:
Lying Low Today
Literally

Blissfully beautiful day
to lie down
in the grass.
 I've never
viewed a lake from
this angle
before.
Looking through
the reeds
to capture
the water
lapping
the shoreline.

Aside from getting my knees muddy, I liked this challenge
better than yesterday's
loftier
one.

30 Day Challenge: Day Five

Day 5:  From a High Angle

I do not like heights.
I contemplated my challenge for today, with acrophobic caution.
I thought of climbing the neighbor's oak tree.
 I briefly wondered if I
could
stand bravely on the roof of the gazebo.
  Finally,
I went to the loft (loft means to rise high into the air) and took this shot
of a wood duck
hanging from the ceiling of our log home.
