I whisper through my fingers and through my camera lens, of life, joy, beauty and family.
I always listen to the whispers...they will tell the truth, if you simply listen.

The Unveiling

Today is the day I share my new laundry room.
I still need to get my pretty chandelier hung, but I'm awaiting Dear Hubby to squeeze it into his work schedule....
it is a lofty task for sure...
being the fixture is at least 12 feet vertical
in the laundry room.

My goodness, it is so bright in my laundry room.
I sort of liked doing my laundry, before I had
my
new
room,
but now
I believe
I will like the task a bit more.
Look here as a reminder

of the before.

How do you like it?

Until next time....

"Our life is what our thoughts make of it."
Marcus Aurelius

Oh So Pretty.
My Ionic Sky isn't as intensely colored as this sample room, but it is of the same hue.
I have a crystal chandelier to hang, if Hubby will do this for me.
I painted an entire wall yesterday and it turned out lovely, but
I can't show you just yet.
I must finish my painting, first.
Soon, you will see the final result.
Haha, I feel a bit like Candice Olson, designer extraordinaire.

I am off to paint...see you later.

Ionic Sky
I·on·ic  (-nk)
adj.
1. Of or relating to Ionia or the Ionians.
2. Architecture Of or belonging to the Ionic order.
n.
The ancient Greek dialect of Ionia.
I picked up my gallon of paint today.  It's called Ionic Sky and I wanted to jump right into the can of beautiful blue paint.  If I hadn't had a horrific migraine this lovely summer day, I would have dipped my paintbrush into the creamy blue paint and stroked it onto the first wall of my laundry room.  I can barely wait to get it started.  I also checked out new washers and driers and found some beauties, but haven't decided on a pair yet...still dreaming, I am.
Which area rug do you prefer?
I like all three very much, but I do have to decide of course.
Keep in mind my Dear Doggies will be lying on this rug.

Rug Number 1?
 Rug Number 2?
Rug Number 3?

My Happiness Project

I recently read a book called The Happiness Project. Dear Daughter-in-law told me about this book and after reading it, I am curious about the journey for my own happiness project.

The first chapter leads to uncluttering one's life. Living a simpler way. I am horrible at organization and decluttering and I know this prevents me from getting to a better place. Gretchen Rubin, the best-selling author, suggests Unclutterer for help in getting rid of the clutter. I pledge to spend the month of July making peace with the excess in my life and get rid of what I don't need, love or use. My first area to clear will be the laundry room--it's probably the easiest room for me to begin with. The Unclutterer suggests looking at inspiring images of laundry rooms via a Google search of these images. After looking at a few of my favorites, I have a good idea of how I want mine to look. Before and after photos of my laundry room project will be posted within the next week. I am so excited!! I never thought I'd be excited about decluttering and making my laundry room spiffy.
What color should I paint my laundry room?

A Chat with Mr. Crow

Once upon a chilly June morning, Mr. Eagle was having a chat with Mr. Crow.  Mr. Eagle, hungry, was asking Mr. Crow if he knew of any newcomers to the neighborhood.  Mr. Crow said he did not know.
As Mr. Eagle was chatting amiably with Mr. Crow, a gaggle of geese were approaching from the rear.
Do you suppose Mr. Crow did indeed know?  I surely thought there would be a show.

Mr. and Mrs. Goose and their five youngsters were not happy with Mr. Eagle venturing upon their territory.  They had recently claimed this land for themselves and weren't about to share with the likes of this predator.  With Mr. Crow on one side and Mr. and Mrs. Goose and their five youngsters on the other side, Mr. Eagle soon realized he was outnumbered.  There was not to be a show.  Wouldn't you know.
Mr. Eagle flapped his mighty wings and with his tail feathers between his taloned legs,  he departed as he arrived--in one fell swoop.  I bet we haven't seen the last of Mr. Eagle.....
Mr. and Mrs. Goose and their five youngsters then enjoyed a family swim in Lake Julia.
